Ingredients

500 grams apples (peeled and cut in small pieces)
200 grams sugar
50 milliliters water
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 cardamom pods (slightly open)

Directions

1Put all ingredients in a small saucepan.
2Cook over low heat until apples are soft and translucent, stirring. Use a wooden spoon to mash remaining large pieces of apple.
3Remove from heat.
4Allow to cool slightly.
5Pour the jam into sterilized jars, filling them to the top.
6Cover, and turn the jars upside down for a few minutes to create a natural vacuum.
