ingredients

250 grams rotini
pasta
500 grams ground beef
5 leaves basil (minced)
4 tablespoons parmesan cheese (grated)
1 clove garlic (minced)
1/2 cups bread crumbs
1 eggs
1/2 cups onions (minced)
5 tomatoes (cooked, with skins removed, crushed or liquified)
1/2 green bell pepper (diced)
1/2 cups onions (minced)
salt and ground black pepper
cooking spray
1/2 cups white wine
200 grams mozzarella cheese (grated)

directions

1Preheat the oven to 180 Celsius.
2Prepare the pasta, following the directions on the package, to al dente. Set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of the cooking liquid.
3Mix the beef, basil, 1/2 cup onion, bread crumbs, parmesan, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper together in a large bowl.
4Form the beef mixture into balls and fry in a large skillet spritzed with cooking spray until golden brown on all sides. Remove from skillet and set aside.
5Saute the onion and green pepper together until the onion becomes transparent. Add the tomato and white wine. Add a little of the reserved cooking liquid if necessary. Let simmer for 4 minutes. Add salt and pepper if needed.
6Stir the pasta into the sauce and mix. Add the meatballs and mix.
7Place the pasta and meatballs into a large baking dish and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Bake for 20 minutes. Serve.
