flavor was off and just generally wasnt that good. An easy recipe to follow but it doesnt taste great in my opinion

This was horrid. Made exactly as the directions called for, and looked nothing like the picture. Now onto the taste. Tasted vinegary and sour. The meat was chalky and just utterly inedible. Waste of time and, more importantly, money. Highly recommend passing over this one.

Mine soaked up the juices so it didn't have the glaze at all. Because the sauce got very watered down. It might have been the chicken i used but i honestly dont see how you could avoid it. It did have a good flavor though.

After reading the reviews I was slightly iffy about trying it, but it looked good so I did I followed directions to the T. Chicken came out extremely dry--- maybe a different method of cooking it would work-other than a croc pot the sauce is very tasty, but the chinks of white meat just can't take being slow cooked, they just dry out

Enjoyed this recipe. I marinated overnight, and cooked a few pieces and found them needing salt and also added a handful of brown sugar before cooking the rest. When I served them to Koreans, they thoroughly enjoyed them.

I added chicken broth but it was still a tad dry it was a little to spice for me but it was over all very good the red flakes is what made it so hot it wasn't my favorite but I'd make it again just maybe add broth from the beginning atleast 2 cups

Delicious and tender! I served it over rice and peas. Will definitely make again! Seriously, it was so moist and bursting with flavor.

Unfortunately I didn't have time to slow cook it. Instead I marinated it in the sauce for an hour then pan cooked the pieces of chicken. Once partially cooked, I poured the remainder of the sauce into the pan. The sauce became really nice and thick and then I popped cooked rice on top to gather the sauce from the pan. It was absolutely delicious and I'm sure the slow cook version is even better!

It does come out quite soupy saidly but the overall flavoring is good if not missing one more spice to elevated more. Next time I will definitely strain and broil the chicken for a better texture.

Cooking in a crockpot cause one big problem, the whole thing turned into a soup. The flavor overall was decent, but if your not careful with the condiments, it could taste too over seasoned. An obvious thing to do would be drain the liquid and broil the chicken to a crisp, though I feel like it would not be very flavorful if this is done.

This is a very tasty easy recipe. It cooks quickly in the slow cooker. The sauce can go a bit runny as the juice leaks out of the chicken but you can always add a little cornflour to thicken at the end. It is delish.

Easy to make and absolutely delicious. Made for 2 of us and there is plenty for leftovers which we are already looking forward to. Definitely a new favorite in our house.

I ended up substituting thyme in for the basil and it is by far the most delicious thing I've cooked
Becky B. 4 Jul 2016
This is amazing! Very moist and full of flavor I did however use fresh basil and used full leaves then took them out after it was cooked

Nice works well in the grilled chicken I made this twice and will continue to use it what I did was to add white wine ( chardonney ) to the sauce this made it kick up a notch

This recipe was wonderful! I used drumsticks instead of the chicken breast and marinated them in the sauce for a whole day and then did them on the grill. Delicious! Will definitely make this again.

Amazing. Made without soy sauce and turned out just right. I recommended this to everyone at work. I'll be making it again too.
Carolyn G. 5 May 2016
It was dry and I didn't like the aftertaste. It smelled really good while it was cooking though I won't make it again
Nancy F. 17 Mar 2016
Even though I cut the cooking time down to 2.5 hours (as recipe suggested) it still came out dry, but the sauce was tasty over rice.

Delicious, quick and easy, served with basmati curry rice. I like heat, next time a finely chopped jalapeño will be included.
