1 tablespoon chicken stock (or 1/4 teaspoon broth)
3 1/2 pounds roasting chickens (cut into 6 pieces)
3 Anaheim chile
10 cardamom pods (skinned, seeds removed and reserved)
6 peppercorns
4 clove
1 tablespoon caraway seeds
1 cinnamon sticks (3/4 inch, broken into pieces)
1 1/4 teaspoons turmeric
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons ghee (or 3 tablespoons vegetable oil)
2 onions (sliced)
3 tablespoons coconut (grated)
1 cup chicken broth (or 1 cup chicken stock)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
cilantro leaves (garnish, optional)
