Ingredients

1 cup rice (uncooked, I like Basmati, but any long grain rice will do)
2 cups water
2 teaspoons chicken-flavored soup powder (e.g. chicken in a mug)
1/2 cups frozen peas
2 tablespoons carrots (finely chopped)
1/2 teaspoons ginger (grated, I buy the jarred already prepared kind, keeps forever in your fridge)
1 teaspoon chopped garlic (I also buy the prepared kind)
1/4 teaspoons chinese five-spice powder
2 slices bacon (diced)
2 tablespoons chopped celery
1 eggs (slightly beaten)
green onions (sliced, for garnish)
